What are we looking for?

Every day we communicate with artists and filmmakers from a dozen countries who send us films on the topic of the Russian-Ukrainian war and express their support. From the very beginning, the focus of our film festival "BRUKIVKA" has been youth films and student beginners who work with genre films. We want to share our activities and promote our "Cultural Front" more widely. Let's talk about common opportunities!

Location: Kamianets-Podilskyi

All organizations: Culture

WHO ARE WE?

We are a team of activists, artists, musicians, representatives of IT and education, who are interested in public activities and cultural projects in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi. On a public basis, we shoot television stories, documentaries on current topics, social advertising, hold conferences and educational cultural forums ("Initiative" and "Stone Island"), help in holding or organize our own festivals ("Brukivka", "Khmelnytskyi film festival", "Republika", "Forpost", "Last Capital", "Schola Militaria", "Youth Capital of Ukraine" and events for "Youth Day"), we help in covering important issues in Kamianets through the media and documentaries - Podilsk and Khmelnytskyi in general.

We have been organizing the "Initiative" public projects and youth policy forum in Kamianets-Podilskyi since 2013 (video presentations: 2019) , at which presentations of the activities of public organizations of the city and district, workshops with well-known speakers, public figures and project managers of Khmelnytskyi and Ukraine, round tables, lectures and research take place.

Since 2017, the
International Film Festival "Brukivka" has been taking place in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi with its own and involved resources, which has grown from a small educational and educational project for students and amateurs of Podillia into a large film festival with international participants and thousands of visitors, meetings with famous figures of the national film industry, financial support of young directors-winners of the competition program, ART performances, educational workshops and popularization of modern Ukrainian cinema, which cannot always be seen on national television or in regional cinemas. The "Brukivka" film festival is social from the very beginning and all events, workshops and film screenings are absolutely free. In 2020, the event was one of the first in Ukraine in online mode after the start of the pandemic, and in November 2021, due to quarantine restrictions, the event was postponed to the end of the winter of 2022, but it was still decided to hold it until victory, and now the festival helped to collect for ZSU is almost 300,000 hryvnias (if we include here the thermal imager that we exchanged at the People's Deputy for a painting by an artist who provided it for the auction).

At the end of February 2022, 3 days after the start of the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine, I, together with my fellow cameramen, began to work, in addition to volunteer work, on the creation of social videos, interviews and stories with displaced persons, volunteers and those who suffered from the consequences of the war under the name " Ukraine'22: War Diaries", which aired on leading national TV channels, online and were used for regional TV programs in the USA and Germany.

WHAT DRIVES US?

We are driven forward by the idea of leaving our contribution to the development of Ukraine, to the development of Khmelnytskyi region and to do something useful in the sphere of culture and public sector. Today we call our activity "Cultural Front".
