Fourth meeting of Danish Speaking Club
The fourth meeting is be dedicated to discussing different formats of education in Denmark. The participants will learn about the nuances of primary education system and how a typical folkeskole (public school) operates.
Did you know that Danish teachers are typically called by their first names and social skills and problem-solving is prioritized over extensive memorization and formal tests?
Oscar will also talk about secondary education such as gymnasiums and trade schools and their principal differences as well as tertiary one such as a standard university that offers a variety of degrees.
Additionally, he will describe a very interesting Danish institution called højskole (folk high school), which is a type of adult education opportunities that promotes development in creative industries and encourages self-expression in young people.
We would like to remind you working languages are Danish and English, and Oscar also speaks Russian if needed. Participants of the Club should have a knowledge of Danish at A2 level or higher.
The event can have no more than 20 participants, so be sure to register in advance.
