Are you an experienced coordinator and youth facilitator? Do you want to help build bridges between Ukrainian and Danish youth organizations? We work to support and connect youth activists to make lasting connections and projects between European countries, and we are looking for our next colleague to make it happen. 

As our International Program Officer, you will be in charge of coordinating the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House’s international programs in close collaboration with our colleagues in Denmark, Kyiv, and Mykolaiv. You will help develop, plan, and implement our activities in places like Moldova, Poland, and Denmark, and you will be the point of contact for youth from all over Ukraine who participate in our different exchange programs and study trips.

As our International Program Officer, you need to have an excellent ability to coordinate many processes at the same time, and you will help youth have experiences for life. You will be part of a team of young and dedicated employees, so we expect you to take an active part in our team where we help each other and emphasize a good working environment.

About us:

The Ukrainian-Danish Youth House is a platform for young people from Ukraine and Denmark that supports youth participation, democracy, and creativity. Based in Kyiv and Mykolaiv, we offer a creative, democratic platform for everyone between 16 and 35 years of age to engage, facilitate, and support youth projects and activism across our countries. Since 2021, we have done this through our own activities and programs, through supporting youth organisations, and through our grants. The Youth House is formally steered by a consortium consisting of the Danish Youth Council and the Danish Cultural Institute.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and planning the international programs of the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House
  • Be a facilitator before, during, and after exchange programs
  • Coordinate the international activities across our departments in Kyiv and Mykolaiv
  • Communicate with and inform participants
  • Support the communications team with collecting content from the seminars and programs
  • Prepare budgets, documents, programs, and financial reports related to the activities
  • Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of international activities
  • Support with communications related to international activities
  • Assist with activity and event planning in the Youth House
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Completed relevant education
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel in Europe
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment, being open to new approaches
  • Experience with project management (full cycle)
  • Experience with youth work, facilitation, and non-formal education
  • Knowledge of youth organizations, volunteering, and activism
  • Strong command of written and spoken Ukrainian and English
  • Excellent social, intercultural, and communication skills and ability to solve conflicts
  • Experience working with inclusive approaches, LNOB, and HRBA is an advantage
